Denis Conway
Denis is the Artistic Director of Ouroboros. Since first playing Ulysses in Troilus and Cressida in 1995 when the company was known as Theatreworks, his work with the company includes playing Hugh in Mutabilitie, Jupiter/Tereus in Tales from Ovid, Richard in Richard 111 for which he was awarded best actor in the Irish Times Theatre Awards. He played the title role in Macbeth in a co-production with Second age and Salieri in Amadeus. In 2005 he played Hugh O’Neill in Making History and in 2006 Apollo/Odysseus in the world première of Mike Poulton’s Myrmidons. Denis has worked with several other Theatre companies including Ireland’s National Theatre, The Abbey/Peacock and Druid Theatre company.
