Denis Conway - Artistic Director
Denis is the Artistic Director of Ouroboros Theatre Company and in 2008 completed an International tour of Making History by Brian Friel starting at Kinsale Co. Cork and visiting twenty seven venues in Ireland, ending in Rathmullan Co. Donegal, and nine venues in Europe, including the Irish colleges in Paris and Leuven and concluding in St. Isidore’s College in Rome. As well as playing Hugh O Neill, Denis produced the tour to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Flight Of The Earls. With Ouroboros he has also appeared in Amadeus, Myrmidons, Macbeth, Tales from Ovid, Troilus and Cressida, Mutabilitie and Richard the Third for which he was awarded the 2002 Irish Times/ESB Theatre Award for Best Actor.
Denis has worked with several other theatre companies including the Abbey/Peacock theatres. And most recently with Druid as Dinny in The Walworth Farce by Enda Walsh (Edinburgh, New York, London, Galway and Dublin). His most recent TV appearance was as the independent politician Vincent in The Running Mate which was produced by TG4.
